TODDLER GYM  Ages 18-27 months accompanied by parent or responsible adult.

Offers children of these ages the opportunity to explore through the use of movement as well as through music.    This class also offers creative play as well as learning from imitation.  A parent or responsible adult needs to accompany the child during the class at all times.

 

MINI GYM  Ages 28-38 months accompanied by parent or responsible adult.

Offers children of these ages the opportunity to learn several motor skills through different movements, activities, and music.  In addition to gross motor skills, balance and strength skills will be introduced.  Each child will gradually gain confidence in working independently while at the same time learning to take turns and following directions.  A parent or responsible adult needs to accompany the child during the class at all times.

 

TERRIFIC 3's  Age 3 years.

Children will work on more advanced motor movement.  They will also be introduced to tumbling, balance, and strength skills.  This is the first class in which they will participate independently.  We encourage any child who may have a hard time separating from his/her parent to take Mini Gym until he/she is comfortable participating on his/her own.

                           

FABULOUS 4'S  Age 4 years.

Children will continue to work on advanced motor movement as well as some additional tumbling skills.  Balance and strength skills will also be emphasized.  Body positions and terms will be used throughout the class.   This is the first class in which handstands and cartwheels will be introduced.

                               

KINDER GYM  Age 5-6 years.

Children will work on some motor movement as they begin to learn more tumbling skills.  Balance, strength, and timing skills will be highly emphasized.  Body positions and terms will be used throughout the class.  Each student will learn to practice independently while the skills are being taught.

 

BEGINNER   Age 7-8 years.

Students of these ages who have no prior experience should enroll in the Beginner class.  Tumbling, balance, strength, and timing skills will be taught.  Body positions and terms will be used throughout this class.  Students will be encouraged to practice independently while the skills are being taught.  Younger students will be allowed into this class ONLY with instructor approval or an evaluation.

 

INTERMEDIATE  Age 9-10 years.

Students of these ages who have no prior experience should enroll in the Intermediate class.  More advanced tumbling, balance, strength, and timing skills will be emphasized in this class.  Younger students will be allowed into this class ONLY with instructor approval or an evaluation.                                                                                               

                                                                                                                                                             

TUMBLING I  Age 7 & Up OR Instructor Approval

This class is the first level of TUMBLING ONLY.  Body positions will be highly

emphasized.  Different variations of forward & backward rolls, bridge kickovers, tripods,

headstands, handstands, cartwheels, and round-offs will be introduced in this class.

Additionally, strength/conditioning skills will be taught to help progress the learning

of the tumbling skills. 

 

TUMBLING II  Mastery of skills in Tumbling I OR Instructor Approval.

This class progresses from the skills learned in Tumbling I.  Body positions will be

highly emphasized.  More strength skills will be necessary to work on more advanced

skills such as dive rolls and back extensions rolls.  More control and form will be taught

at this level of tumbling in order to work on such skills, but not limited to, backbend/

kickovers, handstand-forward roll, handstand archovers, one-handed cartwheels, front

and back walkovers, and backhandsprings.

 

TUMBLING FOR CHEER  Age 7 & Up OR Instructor Approval.

This class will incorporate tumbling as well as jumps, leaps, and technique for

cheerleading.  It is not designed for competitive cheerleading, but rather as an

introduction for those wanting to learn more specifics for cheerleading.  One-half of

the class time will be spent on tumbling and the other half will be spent on the

cheerleading technique.

 

PRIVATE LESSONS - Private lessons are available if the instructor you  

                                                   request has time to teach one.

                                                   Private lessons are subject to gym availability.
